Smart Socket with Energy Monitoring
I’m using these smart sockets for a lot of my automations in Home Assistant. Some of them are permanently switched on and only measure the power and energy consumption of the connected load. There are Wifi and Zigbee models available.

Sonoff Motion Sensor (Zigbee 3.0)
What a great device! It comes with a long-lasting Lithium battery and has a magnetic wall or ceiling mount. The sensor can be adjusted in any direction and works very reliably. I have two of these in use for over a year and they never disappointed! Both are still on 90%+ battery capacity.

Sonoff Temperature and Humidity Sensor (Zigbee 3.0)
I have one of these sensors in every room of the house to measure temperature and humidity. Very reliable little devices with a very long battery life. They have a magnetic back plus come with adhesive tape, the display version also has a little stand.
I tried cheaper sensors but they were not as accurate, especially with the humidity.

Sonoff Water Detection Sensor + extension cable (Zigbee 3.0)
With so many fish tanks inside the house, I also have as many water sensors 😄
The Sonoff sensors work the best and are most reliable. Battery life is extremely long (I never replaced one in 4 years). As an option, you get a 2m extension cable for these hard-to-reach locations.

Alarm Light and Siren (Zigbee)
This alarm light/siren combo plugs into a socket but connects via Zigbee to Home Assistant. I only use the red light, if there is a problem with the battery/energy system in the garage or the battery is under 10%.

MeatPi WiCAN OBDII Wifi adapter
This small device is incredible. It connects to your vehicle’s OBDII port and sends the vehicle data over Wifi (or LTE) to Home Assistant. Check out their support website here which vehicles are supported. They are adding more and more vehicles almost every day.
