One of the most important parts of your solar battery storage system is the inverter which transforms the DC battery voltage back to AC 120V/230V. To select the right inverter for your needs, it is essential to know your load, so basically what do you want to power form your batteries. Add up all your load and add at least 20% (better 30%) on top of that to size the inverter.

The FCHAO ‘Peter‘ Inverter
Really great product! I thought it is just another of these Chinese inverters but this one beats the Renogy Inverter I have used so far. Watch the full experience sharing here on YouTube.
Great display with all the info and runs all my garden tools no matter how large they are. Good peak power, robust device, I like it!
– 3kW (6kW peak)
– 12 or 24V input voltage
– remote display and power switch (great)
– strong M8 brass terminals

Renogy 700 – 3000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12V DC
Really nice inverter for 12V installations or mobile usage. It is a high quality well known brand and can deliver up to 3kW continuously and 6kW peak.
I’m not so happy with this device any more after having tested other inverters. It frequently beeps and shuts down without any indication why.
It comes with dual cables, remote on/off panel and USB charging port if you are on the move.

XIJIA SwiPower Pure Sine Wave Inverter.
I selected this inverter for my project and am pretty happy so far. Even under full load, it stays very cool and gets not even hand warm which is very impressive. For batteries from 12-48V and output from 1000W to 6000W. It comes with remote control and battery cables.

Ceramic Resistor to pre-charge your inverters before connecting.
To avoid larger sparks and high inrush currents, please always use a resistor to pre-charge the internal capacitors of your inverters before connecting.
