Battery Chargers

Well, we should mainly use solar to charge our batteries, right? Sometimes we just need this little bit of extra help to charge our cells from the grid. Some of these chargers below can actually hook up to a DC source and charge form another battery for example.

Liitokala Lii-500 NiCd/NiMH/Li-ion charger
I’m using this charger for over a year now and am pretty happy with it. I handles all kind of cells and measures capacity and also internal resistance. It can be powered from any 12V DC source (but a power supply is also included)

Li-ion Battery Charger, 54.6V, 20A, 1kW
I’m using this charger as my ‘generator’ if the battery gets too low (see video here). The power it can deliver is enough to slowly recharge the battery shelf when it is low and more importantly, prevent the system from shutting down.
This charger is designed for a 13s Li-ion battery but works perfectly fine with a 16s 48V LiFePO4 battery without overcharging it.

LiFePO4 Battery Charger, 55.5V, 20A (adjustable), 1kW
This is actually the right charger, if you want to fully charge your 16s LiFePO4 battery. It charges to perfect 55.5V and the charging current can be adjusted from 2-20A.
