After cutting many holes with the step-drill or jig saw, I finally invested in a hydraulic hole punch tool. It works great, is clean and easy to use. Not sure if I would trust it with 3.5mm steel though. But 3mm aluminium is certainly not a problem.

Amazing Work Gloves!
I was very sceptical ordering these gloves. The price was very cheap for 12 pairs(!) and some reviews said they are thin and not as strong. Well, since I got them, I use them all the time. Garden work, cutting firewood and also for my electrical work. The sensitivity is amazing and I can do pretty much all work with them. They are also washable and last far longer than I thought. I’m still on my first pair.
